Happy Anniversary to Us: The Southern California Genealogical Society Celebrated 60 Years in 2024!

You may have seen our Facebook cover photo of the big sheet cake with a red "60" written across the white frosting. Maybe you were lucky enough to eat a slice if you attended the Genealogy Jam event on October 12.

Check out our new page, Celebrating 60 Years, under the "About" menu. Linger for a while. You'll discover that the Southern California Genealogical Society hasn't always been in Burbank, although it has for the current century. Before that, it met in a couple of different high rises on Wilshire Boulevard, at a historic home in Wilmington, at a couple sites in neighboring Glendale, and at Burbank's defunct Golden Mall.

We are grateful to all who were here before us to establish, build, and guide SCGS through

six decades.
