Since our inaugural Member2Member get-together in December 2024, SCGS's quarterly meet-up has grown, attracting members and family historians from across Southern California. The idea is simple: genealogists and enthusiasts of all skill levels meet at the SCGS Library in Burbank and help one another with basics, like how to research ancestors in online records and navigate sites like Ancestry and FamilySearch to breaking through brick walls and interpreting DNA test results.

We meet on Saturdays at the library in March, July (after SCGS's annual Open House), October, and December (after the annual Membership Meeting and Holiday Party). Membership is not required, but is encouraged! Bring your questions, passion for genealogy, a friend, and a laptop (all suggested but not mandatory).
