The Southern California Genealogical Society’s Italian Interest Group welcomed professional genealogist Emidio Spinogatti to our March 2024
meeting to discuss the considerations of working with a researcher in Italy, the types of records and resources available only to on-site researchers, the unique challenges of genealogical research within Italy, and more. Emidio's presentation was followed by a hosted discussion and Q&A session.

Meet Our Speaker: Emidio Spinogatti
Emidio is the owner of Abruzzo Genealogy, which offers genealogy research, consultations, and ancestry tours. Emidio is a member of the . He is a licensed ancestry tour guide from the heart of Abruzzo, Italy. Since founding Abruzzo Genealogy in 2014, he has helped numerous descendants of Italian emigrants rediscover their family histories.
