About Marcy's Topic: "Opening Pandora’s Box: The Story of Family Secrets Exposed with DNA Testing."
Growing up, Marcy had suspicions concerning her birth. Eleven years after her dad’s passing, the truth began to unfold. Even without his DNA, Marcy was able to prove the identity of her biological father. After solving that mystery, Marcy uncovered a plethora of other secrets involving her mother, aunts and uncles, grandparents, and great- grandparents. Marcy will explain the power of DNA testing and how genetics and mathematics can determine biological relationships, despite generations of presumed ancestry.
