DAR Application Workshop

Do you have questions about the DAR? Would you like to join? Kathy Holland, SCGS Secretary, and DAR member, will help attendees with their lineage back to the American Revolution and review the documents needed to become a DAR member. Visit the SCGS Family Research Library on Saturday, August 24, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Kathy will help you!

Any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of her Patriot ancestor.
