    From 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the SCGS Library

    The Beginner’s Four Week Class with One-on-One Assistance will be offered 4 consecutive Tuesdays from 9:30 am- 11:30 am at the Southern California Genealogical Society Family Research Librar and provides the information and skills needed to begin the search for your ancestors. The class introduces you to a variety of records and strategies for successful research.

    Week 1: The Basics of Getting Started
    Week 2: Census Records and their Substitutes
    Week 3: Church Records
    Week 4: Military and Land Records

    The Southern California Genealogical Society Library will be open for research following the class for those interested in practicing their skills.
