About the Event
The Southern California Genealogical Society Italian Interest Group invites you to its regularly scheduled meeting on Saturday, January 18, from 10 a.m. to noon PST.
For its first meeting of this new year, attendees will dedicate ample time for member introductions, an open forum discussion of your research questions, and more. Group leader Rocco Hindman will be seeking suggestions for meeting topics for 2025. Please join us and bring your questions or recommendations.
There will also be a presentation regarding the use of online DNA matches to determine families connections and towns of origin for our Italian ancestors. We will discuss how you can use information about your many DNA matches on the commercial testing websites to unlock information about your ancestor’s origins, using a member’s family tree as an example of how you can break down brick walls using DNA.
