Honoring Those Who Came Before Us
As we observe Memorial Day weekend, SCGS pauses to remember and honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. For many family historians, this holiday can also be a meaningful time to reflect on the ancestors whose military service, sacrifice, and resilience helped shape our families and communities.
Whether your ancestors served in the Revolutionary War, Civil War, World Wars, or in quieter acts of service closer to home, Memorial Day reminds us that preserving their stories matters.
Please note that the SCGS Library will be closed Sunday and Monday in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on our regular schedule afterward and look forward to welcoming you back.
