About Tadeusk

“Teddy,” as his American friends call him, holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Marie Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin, Poland. At the University, he studied “supralibros”—the coat of arms applied to book covers to identify the book owner. He has extensive knowledge of family coats of arms.

In 2003, Teddy became an Accredited Genealogist specializing in Polish research. In addition to Polish, Teddy researches German, Russian, and Latin records. He frequently visits the United States to speak at genealogy conferences. For his clients who choose to visit Poland, he will accompany them to look for living family members and provide translation services. Teddy is currently working on both a Lemko extraction project and a Silesian database. He is an active member of the Polish Genealogical Society of Texas.

In addition to his genealogy work, Teddy performs heir tracing for lawyers both inside and outside of Poland.

The goal of the German Interest Group is to provide a wide range of resources both inside and outside the SCGS Library to help trace German families. The group meets at the Library every third Saturday from 1-4. They often have a speaker on German research, and they offer assistance with your German research problems. New members and guests are always welcome. If you bring your family information (pedigree charts and family group sheets with as much information as possible), the group members will be better able to assist you in locating the information you need to find your German ancestors. Click here to see the German Interest Group meeting schedule
