The Southern California Genealogical Society's German Interest Group hosts genealogist Milan Pohontsch on Saturday, August 15, for its hybrid meeting, held both online and at the SCGS Family Research Library in Burbank. About the Presentation
This is the presenter’s personal story, born in East Germany and raised Catholic with traditional values. In the eyes of some lower-ranking government officials, he was “too Catholic”, and so the struggle began.
Follow the first 25 years of his life, leading up to the uprising of the East German people, which brought an end to the socialist experiment.
