At its meeting on Saturday, May 17, the Southern California Genealogical Society's German Interest Group will host genealogists Luana M. Darby and Jon Wolf. Luana's topic will be "Is This the End? Taking Your German Brick Walls Down Piece by Piece." Berlin-based speaker Jon will discuss "Researching NARA." The meeting will be held online and at the SCGS Family Research Library in Burbank from 1 to 3:45 p.m.

What do you need to look for when you've reached your brick wall? What information is available, and how do you find it? Learn how to think like a German and understand how to assess the needs of your German research to get the most out of it, from both sides of the ocean. Luana describes how a typical German lived and made decisions. Her case study will show you the steps to overcome a typical brick wall.
