About the Event

Edward's presentation is both a celebration and an examination of the field we passionately feel about. From the curious neophyte to the avid amateur to the grizzled professional, genealogy can be enchanting and intoxicating. For some, it can become an obsession. Edward reviews how to effectively address the worries, frustrations, and stress that even a modest brick wall or impatient client can elicit and why it's hard to resist chasing those bright shiny objects down rabbit holes. We'll look at how our love, honor, and respect for our families also play an essential role in our decision-making and celebrate our love for them, for ourselves, and for genealogy! In addition to writing and lecturing about genealogy, Edward has taught psychology and human services for over 30 years.
