About the Event

The Southern California Genealogical Society's Webinar series hosts genealogist Diane L. Richard, who will present "Digital Library on American Slavery and Related Projects from Across the South." The online event is set for Wednesday, May 15, from 6 to 7 p.m.

The (DLAS) platform focuses on slave petitions and runaway slave advertisements and includes a cutting-edge project for North Carolina Bills of Sale. Then, an overview of other existing runaway slave advertisement websites and where bills of sale are found for additional select states is given.
