About the Event

In this joint meeting hosted by the Irish and British Interest Groups of the Southern California Genealogical Society, expert Sheila Benedict offers personal experience, tips, and techniques for researching families from Ireland and Great Britain. Ireland as an Ireland was once one nation. In 1916, the Irish Republic was proclaimed, and 1921 Northern Ireland was established.  The UK has possession of the six northern counties today.  Depending on the timeline when looking for records, their location may vary.
