About the Event

About the Webinar

Join us for a SCGS Webinar featuring genealogist Karen A. Fortin, who presents "Recreating Life in a Community Using Death Certificates" on Saturday, May 2, at 10 a.m. PT.

Death certificates can tell us lots about how our ancestors lived and died. When looked at as a group, they can also tell us about life and death in their communities. This presentation focuses on an analysis of death certificates for Attleboro, Massachusetts from 1916-1920, and shows how they can provide us with a window into the lives of the people who lived there.
