About the Event
At its meeting on Saturday, July 19, the Southern California Genealogical Society's German Interest Group will host genealogist Tadeusz Pilat. Teddy's topic is "Websites for Genealogical Research FamilySearch, Szukajwarchiwach, Geneteka & More," and will be presented online. The meeting will be held online and at the SCGS Family Research Library in Burbank from 1 to 3:45 p.m. PDT.
Meet Our Speaker
Tadeusz was born in Silesia, Poland (previously Schlesien, Germany). He currently lives in eastern Poland and Germany. He pursued Library Studies at the University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin, Poland, focusing on the history of books and old documents. He specialized in "Supralibros", which are Private Collections of the 16th to 18th centuries. In 1999, he was granted the degree of Master of Library and Information Science.
