They sponsor the annual GENEii Writer's Contest and the winning submissions that

The DNA Interest group works with DNA technology to advance family
history research in this growing field. Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) Project Administrators
and/or Project Co-administrators are invited to remain following the main meeting
(generally from 2:00-4:00 p.m.) to discuss how they are managing group projects.
