Uncover Genealogy Secrets at NARA

The Southern California Genealogical Society is excited to offer a free professional development session for librarians and other reference staff who assist genealogists. The half-day session is offered in conjunction with the Southern California Genealogy Jamboree.

JamboFREE - Deep Dive into NARA's Resources. It's one of the most valuable repositories of genealogical information, yet many researchers are not comfortable using the resources of the National Archive and Records Administration (NARA). This session is appropriate for genealogy librarians as well as family historians.

This session is a victim of Sequestration. The NARA staff had planned to deliver this presentation; however, all of their outreach has been cancelled for the year.

We are grateful that John Colletta, Ph.D., FUGA, has graciously offered to deliver two outstanding sessions about NARA.

And best of all, it's offered as part of the JamboFREE morning and is free to attend. Registration is required - attendance is limited to 300 and we expect the Pavilion to be filled.
