One of the missions of the Southern California Genealogical Society is to provide education to members of the public as well as SCGS members.
To extend the reach of our educational offerings around the globe, SCGS has developed the Jamboree Extension Series of webinars. In addition, streamed video sessions are offered at the annual Jamboree. When permitted by the speaker, virtual presentations are placed on the SCGS website and are available 24/7 for members of the society.
SCGS makes the virtual education program available to the public at no cost, although the Society incurs expenses by paying speaker fees, software and equipment. The program is funded through memberships and donations.
If you are interested in obtaining year-round access to this valuable resource, think about purchasing a membership. You'll receive all the other benefits of membership, including at-home use of Access NewspaperARCHIVE; discounts to Jamboree, research team assistance and other programs; and the quarterly journal, The Searcher.
To make a donation to support the virtual education program, you may do so here. To make a donation greater than the $10 basic amount, increase the quantity. Donations can be made in $10 increments.
