SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
 

William Dollarhide currently resides in Bountiful, Utah (2007), and writes feature articles for Everton’s Genealogical Helper (co-editor, NetFamilyHistory); and is a contributor to Genealogical Publishing Co.'s Genealogy Pointers online weekly newsletter.

He has been in pursuit of his family origins since 1971 and involved professionally with genealogy since founding the Dollarhide System for Genealogical Records in 1980. As Dollarhide Systems from 1985-1994, he developed and marketed software systems for organizing genealogical records. As a genealogical lecturer since 1985, he has conducted seminar programs for over 700 genealogical societies in 45 states. He has been the featured speaker at state-wide genealogy conferences held in California, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, Texas, and Washington. He has also been a speaker at national conferences sponsored by the National Genealogical Society and the Federation of Genealogical Societies, and was an instructor at the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy.

His honors include an Award of Merit from the American Society of Genealogists for the Map Guide book; an Award of Appreciation from the National Genealogical Society for services to the genealogical community; and Awards of Appreciation from the statewide genealogical societies/associations of California, Kentucky (a Kentucky Colonel), Missouri, Ohio, Oregon, and Washington. He is the author of twelve books related to genealogical research.
