Randy Seaver is a genealogist and family historian, a 5th generation San Diegan, and a retired aerospace engineer. He started researching in 1988 and has pursued genealogy activities full-time since 2002. Randy is currently President of the Chula Vista (CA) Genealogical Society (CVGS) and occasionally makes presentations to San Diego area societies. He enjoys the ancestral hunt for his own family history and helping others find elusive ancestors, and thinks that genealogy research is fun and intellectually challenging.
Randy writes daily on his Genea-Musings blog, providing genealogy research tips, commentary on genealogy news items, evaluating web sites and databases, occasional genealogy humor, San Diego genealogy society news, and his own family history research and stories. He also writes for the Chula Vista Genealogy Cafe blog with society news and activity summaries, and questions and answers. |
