Elaine Alexander is a specialist in materials and techniques for use in research of passenger lists and naturalization records. She has served at the Los Angeles Regional Family History Center since 1992 as teacher, supervisor, assistant to the director of passenger lists and as head of the naturalization records project.
Ms. Alexander has been an instructor of basic genealogy and an instructional materials developer at the University of California Los Angeles Extension, California State University Northridge, and Los Angeles City College. She currently lectures and conducts seminars and workshops throughout southern California..
She has three books available from Delphic Press: How to Find Naturalization Records, Five Steps to Passenger Lists, and U.S. Ports of Arrival and Their Records. Development of two series of instructional videos on these two topics is scheduled to begin early 2009.
