Carl Boyer has been researching genealogy since 1964 (when he first traced his mother-in-law to a twice-convicted witch), and has published many books. In 2001 he produced two volumes of Medieval English Ancestors, and his 2004 release, Medieval Welsh Ancestors, is unique.
Carl Boyer taught history, government and economics at San Fernando High School, 1963 to 1998, was chair of the City of Santa Clarita Formation Committee in 1987 and served as councilman and Mayor until his retirement in April 1998, when he became a volunteer medical mission coordinator.
He was the author of a resolution, adopted unanimously by all the statewide organizations of cities in California, calling for state constitutional revision, and is an advocate of splitting up Los Angeles County, which is larger than most of the sovereign nations of the world.
He is also now working to help the schools of Nicaragua through the formation of sister school relationships with schools in California.
