Anne Miller, Ph.D. is a professional genealogist, an historian and a psychologist specializing in combining genealogical and historical resources to provide a better understanding of people.  Anne gives presentations and does genealogical and historical research for others. 

Sunday 10:00 a.m.  SU-082.   Mapping Your Ancestor’s Home: Linking Today with the Past.  Finding your ancestor’s home by combining historical maps, deeds, and other records with Google Earth enhances your understanding of your family history.  [IA]

Friday 1:30 p.m.  Mini-FR1. Using Google Earth to Map Your Ancestor’s Home.  This session teaches how combining genealogical records with Google Earth enhances our understanding of our ancestors' lives.  Homework:  Download a free copy of Google Earth (earth.google.com). Try finding your home and other locations of interest.  Computer required. [IA]

Saturday 8:30 a.m.  Mini-SA1. Platting Your Ancestor’s Land.  This two-hour workshop provides training in transforming a metes and bounds description of land into a plat of your ancestors’ land.  Workshop supplies will be provided.  Homework: Gain familiarity with land measurements such as chains and links.
